Work is moving forward on the S.R. 77 Widening Project as crews begin pile driving for the new northbound bridge over Reedy Creek in Washington County.
Pile driving is an important step in bridge construction, where large concrete piles are driven deep into the ground to create a strong and stable foundation for the bridge structure. These piles help support the weight of the bridge and ensure it remains secure for years to come.
This work is part of the $56 million S.R. 77 widening project that is scheduled for completion in early 2028.
