March 26, 2026 —At approximately 7:21 a.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary in progress on Whispering Pines Road.
A witness reported seeing a subject at the structure wearing camouflage and a face covering and yelled for him to leave the area, at which time the individual fled on foot toward a nearby wood line.
Upon arrival, deputies did not locate the subject in the immediate area; however, he was later located at a nearby residence.
During the course of the investigation, evidence gathered by deputies revealed the suspect’s involvement, and a K-9 track further confirmed his path from the scene. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Logan Gruver is charged with:
• Burglary of a Conveyance
• Trespassing
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Possession of Marijuana (Less Than 20 Grams)
Gruver was also out on bond at the time of this incident for possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
This remains an active investigation.
