During the stop, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, leading to a probable cause search. The investigation resulted in the discovery of multiple individually packaged amounts of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a quantity of U.S. currency consistent with distribution activity.
As a result of the investigation, Josh Johnson and Zion Higgins, both of Carrollton, Georgia, were taken into custody.
Charges include:
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of controlled substances without a prescription
Both individuals were transported to the Holmes County Jail without incident.
