Mavis Annette Porter, age 83 of Bonifay, Florida passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, Florida.
Born Wednesday, November 18, 1942 in Hinson Crossroads, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Anderson and the late Claudia Lee Anderson.
Surviving are sons, Danny Porter and wife Annette of Bonifay, FL, Darrell Porter and wife Sabrina of Bonifay, FL and Jimmy Porter and wife Tiffaney of Sulphur, LA, brother, Dwight Perkins, Sr. of Dearborn, MI, sisters, Margaret Ann French of Bethlehem, FL and Donna Lou Tillis of Bonifay, FL; 8 grand children; 15 great grand children.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Porter, grandson, Justin Porter, sister, Mary Helen Hood, brother in law, Clyde Hood.
Mrs. Porter was a member of the Eastern Star and Pleasant Grove Church.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Pleasant Grove Church with the Rev. Allen English and Rev. Danny Porter officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Vernon, FL with Sims Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Pleasant Grove Church.
