U.S. Marshals Task Force and Walton County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Scott Hayward Rowe for Sex Offender Registration Violations

Posted on May 4, 2026

U.S. Marshals Task Force, which includes members of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, arrest a sex offender for registration violations and perjury.

Scott Hayward Rowe, 43, was arrested at his home on Live Oak Street Sunday afternoon. Rowe had active warrants from our agency for four counts of sex offender registration violations and perjury.

Rowe was court-ordered to register as a sex offender after he was convicted of possession of child pornography by a member of the military in 2012 in Georgia. In 2015, he was arrested in Okaloosa County for failure to comply with sex offender registration.

To stay informed about sex offenders and sexual predators in your area, you can download the Walton County Sheriff’s Office app, available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Parents are also encouraged to explore Offender Watch, a safety tool that helps monitor a child’s location, identifies nearby sex offenders, and sends alerts if a child is contacted by or lingers near a registered offender’s residence. Offender Watch also offers valuable safety tips and resources.
