The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office assisted federal immigration authorities in locating a man wanted in El Salvador who was reportedly attempting to avoid serving an eight-year sentence for rape.
JCSO was contacted by the Department of Homeland Security after officials in El Salvador reported that Pedro De Jesus Molina Hernandez was possibly living and working in Jackson County.
On May 14, 2026, JCSO deputies assisted Homeland Security and ICE officers in locating Molina Hernandez at a business in Marianna, where he was positively identified, detained, and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility without incident.
“This case highlights the strong partnerships between local and federal law enforcement agencies,” said Sheriff Donnie Edenfield. “We will continue working with our partners to locate individuals attempting to evade justice.”
