John was born on June 1, 1950, in Erie County, Pennsylvania, to Edward and Frances Baranski.
He was a faithful member of Sapp Church in Cottondale and dedicated 42 years of his career to working as a mechanical engineer at General Electric before retiring. John enjoyed woodworking, Corvettes, and collecting guns.
Above all, he cherished spending time with his devoted and dedicated wife and best friend of almost 32 years, Terri, and their grandchildren; especially enjoying trips to the beach and making memories with the ones he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Frances Baranski; sister: Susan Greggs; brother in law: Carl Kaminski.
He is survived by his loving wife: Terri Baranski of Cottondale, Florida; sons: John Baranski Jr. (Leslie) of Dover, PA, Jason Baranski (Arwen) of Chester Springs, PA; sisters: Sara Kaminski of Erie, PA, Sharon Baranski of Erie PA; grandchildren: Avery Baranski, Mara Baranski, Tim London, Abby London, Jessa London.
Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Obert Funeral Home Chapel (731 Kirkland Road) in Chipley Florida with Pastor Shane Obert and Pastor Vince Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in Sapp Church Cemetery in Cottondale, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers are: David Cochran, Zach Gibby, Taylor Dunham, Neal Jackson, George Lee, and Chad Williams.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at Obert Funeral Home Chapel.
