Holmes County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct involving Dustin Collins after multiple victims came forward with corroborating statements alleging that Collins engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with them while they were juveniles.
The findings of the investigation were presented to the State Attorney’s Office. Based on the evidence, and statements from the victims and suspect, arrest warrants were issued and signed by a judge charging Collins with:
• Sexual Battery on a Child
• Human Trafficking
The human trafficking charge stems from evidence that Collins allegedly sent messages to juveniles offering money or other compensation in exchange for sexual acts.
Collins was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail.
This investigation remains active and ongoing. Investigators believe there may be additional victims or individuals with information related to this case.
