On July 11, 2026, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person standing in the roadway at the intersection of Highway 177 and Highway 79.
Upon arrival, deputies identified the individual as Julian Sanders. A warrants check revealed that Sanders had an active warrant out of Bay County. Deputies took Sanders into custody without incident.
While investigating the scene, deputies located a plastic bag containing methamphetamine on the ground where Sanders had been standing. As a result, Sanders was also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
Sanders was transported to the Holmes County Jail, where he was booked on the outstanding Bay County warrant and the additional drug charge.
