On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office met with Washington County School District directors and principals to conduct training on the Washington County Sheriff’s Office’s role in the reunification process during a school emergency.
The training highlighted the Sheriff’s Office response procedures and our role in the reunification process that would be implemented in the event of a critical incident. School administrators and Sheriff’s Office personnel worked together to review emergency protocols, strengthen coordination, and ensure everyone understands their responsibilities during a crisis.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to working alongside the Washington County School District to ensure our schools are as safe and prepared as possible. While we hope these plans are never needed, regular training and collaboration are vital to ensuring the best possible response when every second counts.
