On March 23, 2025, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies responded to a call alleging that a suspect, Darrell Cobb, had committed lewd and lascivious acts on a child. Deputies immediately turned the case over to JCSO investigators for further investigation.
Throughout the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Cobb had exposed himself to the 12-year-old victim at least three times over the last seven months.
On March 26, 2025, investigators made contact with Cobb at his home, and he agreed to questioning. During the interview Cobb admitted he had exposed himself to the victim multiple times, but it was accidental.
Cobb was arrested and is being charged with three counts of Lewd and Lascivious Conduct. On March 27, 2025, Cobb was given a $45,000 bond.
