Jackson County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Justin Lawrence Morgan on Multiple Child Exploitation Charges

Posted on July 31, 2026

A months-long investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of Justin Lawrence Morgan on multiple child exploitation charges.

The investigation began in February 2026 after the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received information from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)

Task Force. During the course of the investigation, investigators executed multiple search warrants and subpoenas, analyzed digital evidence, and identified Morgan as the suspect.

On June 24, 2026, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Morgan’s residence. The Sheriff’s Office Tactical Team (TAC Team) assisted with the operation to ensure the search warrant was safely executed.

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and HSI Digital Forensic Analysts also assisted investigators with the search and on-scene forensic examination of electronic devices.

Multiple electronic devices were seized during the search. A forensic review conducted on scene identified numerous files associated with the investigation, leading to Morgan’s arrest.

“Child exploitation will not be tolerated in Jackson County,” said Sheriff Donnie Edenfield. “Our investigators are relentless in pursuing these cases, and we will continue working alongside our state and federal partners to hold offenders accountable. If you choose to exploit children, you will be identified, arrested, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Morgan was charged with:

(4) Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child

(16) Possession of Child Pornography

At the time of his arrest, Morgan was on state probation. He is being held on a $600,000 bond on the new charges and is also being held without bond for a violation of probation.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office extends its appreciation to Homeland Security Investigations and its Digital Forensic Analyst Team for their valuable assistance throughout this investigation.

The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
