Ella Mae Pate, age 79, of Bonifay, Florida, passed away August 3, 2026, at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama. She was born on December 2, 1946, in Bonifay, Florida to the late John Henry Clark and Susie Virginia Bush Clark.
In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by three children, one sister, Etta Aldridge and four brothers.
Mrs. Pate is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas Pate Sr.; four children, Bill Pate, Sandra Morris and husband Erik, Charles Pate and wife Malissa, and Michael Pate; six grandchildren, Riley Pate, Allannah Stafford, Ryan Pate, Braiden Pate, Trace Pate, and John Morris; four great-grandchildren; great-nephew, Alex; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 7, 2026, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at Peel Funeral Home.
