Walton County deputy Will May died at the hospital tonight after being shot by a suspect this afternoon at the Dollar General on Highway 90 near Mossy Head.
The sheriff says Deputy May was able to return fire and fatally shoot the suspect during the incident.
Will May was 38-years-old. He leaves behind a wife and two teenage children.
