On April 5, 2025, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Douglas Alford on Highway 2A.
During the stop, K9 Timex was deployed for a free-air sniff around the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a small plastic baggie containing methamphetamine located in the driver’s door pocket.
Mr. Alford was taken into custody, and a search of his person revealed an additional baggie in his pocket containing over 9 grams of methamphetamine.
Alford was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
