Jerry Paul ‘JP’ Hood, age 73, of Bonifay, Florida passed away April 6, 2025, at his brother’s home in Bonifay surrounded by his family. He was born May 26, 1951, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to the late Carl Paul Hood and Eunice May Bateman Hood.
Mr. Hood is survived by his daughters, Mari Woodham and husband Stevie of Bonifay, FL and Amy Ricks of Auburndale, FL; six siblings, Terry Hood of Bonifay, FL, Carey Hood of Bonifay, Sandra Olsen of Vernon, FL, Charles Buck Hood of Bonifay, FL, Wanda Faye Grubbs of Daleville, AL, and Donnie Hood and wife Charlene of Bonifay, FL; nine grandchildren, Brock Hood of Auburndale, FL, Skyla Lewis of Bonifay, FL, Dallas Saputo of Sarasota, FL, Bailey Ricks of Lakeland, FL, Britian Thompson of Bonifay, FL, Bo Ricks of Auburndale, FL, Maddox Hood of Winter Haven, FL, Kelbee Woodham of Bonifay, FL, and Talan Woodham of Bonifay, FL; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 10, 2025, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel. Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.
