Search Warrant Leads to Meth Trafficking Arrest
On April 11, 2025, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Welding Road. The warrant was obtained as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of methamphetamine from the residence.
Upon arrival, deputies made entry and secured the homeowner, James Cook. A thorough search of the property resulted in the discovery of over 19 grams of methamphetamine, along with marijuana and various items of drug paraphernalia.
As a result, Cook was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
Trafficking in Methamphetamine
Sale of Methamphetamine
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
