Recognition of VES Student Avielle Brock
Avielle was recognized for her achievement in the VES Accelerated Reader program. This year, she reached 1000 points in her AR reading.

Recognition of VHS FFA and FCCLA students:
VHS FFA placed 3rd in the State for Land Judging

Recognition of Dr. James Clemmons, Florida’s 2024-2025 School Outstanding Volunteer Award recipient
Director Susan Saunders recognized and honored Dr. Clemmons for his exceptional contributions to the district, highlighting his more than 13 years of dedicated volunteer service at Chipley High School. In recognition and appreciation of his service and commitment to the success of Florida students, the Florida Department of Education awarded him a certificate and a plaque.

Fitzhugh & Essie D. Carter Education Foundation Grant Awards
Each year, the Foundation allocates funds to Vernon and Chipley High Schools based on the annual earnings of its trust funds. This year, Foundation Committee Chair Mr. Gary Clark presented a check for $62,500.00 to Vernon High School and $37,500.00 to Chipley High School. Staff members from both schools attended the presentation to share how the funds have been used.
