Brickyard Theatre Company, the performing arts department of Chipley High School, is thrilled to announce its upcoming spring production: Peter/Wendy, a play by Jeremy Bloom, adapted from J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan with segments from J.M. Barrie’s The Little White Bird. Performances will be held May 2-3, 2025, in the Chipley High School Auditorium.
Directed by Justin Conley with Choreography by Kerry O’Brian Herring, Peter/Wendy offers audiences a stark and mesmerizing reimagining of J.M. Barrie’s timeless story. This lyrical and atmospheric adaptation strips the familiar tale down to its emotional core, blending whimsy and melancholy in the magical world of Neverland. Peter lures Wendy away from her nursery to the magical world of Neverland, where she joins his adventures with Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily, and the menacing Captain Hook. A low-tech, inventive adaptation that pays homage to the darker themes of J. M. Barrie’s original, 𝘗𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳/𝘞𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘺 will mesmerize audiences of all ages.

Special Pre-Show Concert: Songs from Childhood
In addition to the mainstage performance, audiences will enjoy a special pre-show concert, Songs from Childhood, featuring Brickyard Theatre Company performers: Jonathan Patton, Rebecca Patton, Jilian Pedraja, Marlaina Register, and Chase Sims. This concert is a heartwarming musical journey through songs that capture the magic, innocence, and nostalgia of childhood.
