The Florida Department of Transportation is hosting the Northwest Florida Road to Your Future Hiring Event on May 6th at the Washington County Agricultural Center in Chipley, FL.
An event flyer is attached to share with your students and alumni. This is a great opportunity to put recent and upcoming graduates in touch with employers that provide transportation services across the Panhandle.
District 3 is conducting interviews and hiring on-site at the event for multiple positions. Our industry partners will also be there looking for qualified applicants for their consultant and construction companies. At the inaugural District 3 Hiring Event in 2024, FDOT hired 7 new employees on the spot and our transportation partners at the event reported at least 4 hires as a result of the event!
Interested students should visit https://roadtoyourfuture.com/ to register as a job seeker. Once they have registered as a job seeker, individuals will be notified of the FDOT positions advertised at the hiring event. Interested job seekers can visit https://jobs.myflorida.com/ to begin the process of creating a candidate profile prior to the event to aide in the application process. Applications may be submitted prior to the event, but we will also have staff on-site to aide in the application process. Interviews will be conducted at the event and any candidates selected to fill a position will be notified of their selection prior to the end of the event.
