Jahaza Hewett Williams, 87 of Bonifay, Florida Passes on April 26, 2025

Jahaza Hewett Williams, age 87, of Bonifay, Florida passed away on April 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 14, 1937, in Washington County Florida to the late Benjamin Jackson ‘Jack’ Hewett and Fleta Louvonia Murphy ‘Bunch’ Hewett. In addition to her parents, Jahaza was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin Hewett and Bill Hewett.

Ms. Williams is survived by four sons, Ricky Williams of Panama City, FL, Allen Williams and wife Karen of Magnolia, NJ, Paul Williams Sr of Autaugaville, AL, and Charles Williams of Panama City, FL; fourteen grandchildren, Paul Jr, Christopher, Trenton, Logan, Anna, Jenny, Trish, Rebekah, Nina, Wesley, Abigale, Alessa, Chris, and Haley; one sister, Betty Ely and husband Jim of Tallahassee, FL; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

The family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers, Janice Hewett, Sue Hewett, and Emerald Coast Hospice for all their love and care for Jahaza.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at St. Johns Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Otis Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Johns Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at St. Johns Free Will Baptist Church.
