National Weather Service Advises Cold Front to Bring Showers and Thunderstorms on Saturday, May 3, 2025

Posted on May 2, 2025

A cold front will bring a broken line of showers and thunderstorms into the area Saturday morning, slowly moving across the area through the day Saturday.

Gusty, locally damaging wind gusts and small to medium hail are the primary hazards.

A cold front will slowly move across the area during the day Saturday.

Along and ahead of the front, scattered showers and thunderstorms, likely in some sort of broken line, will move eastward across the area. Isolated localized damaging wind gusts and small to medium hail appear to be primary hazards outside of lightning.

The Storm Prediction Center has outlined much of the area generally along and north of I-10 in a Marginal Risk of severe weather (level 1 of 5) for Saturday.

This looks to be mostly a daytime into the evening severe threat.
