On the morning of May 6, 2025, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence located on Highway 171 in connection to the suspected distribution of illegal narcotics. This marks the second search warrant executed at the same location within the past six months.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Jeffery Smith, who was located in the yard and detained without incident. Entry was then made into the residence, where contact was established with Phillip Pippin, who was also taken into custody.
A search of the residence resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine and various items of drug paraphernalia. A subsequent search of Pippin’s vehicle led to the recovery of additional methamphetamine, more drug paraphernalia, and Suboxone found in his wallet.
Both Smith and Pippin were arrested and face the following charges:
Jeffery Smith
• Trafficking in Methamphetamine
• Sale of Methamphetamine
• Maintaining a Drug House
Phillip Pippin
• Possession of Methamphetamine
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Possession of Suboxone
• Possession of Marijuana
