On May 7, 2025, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate at the intersection of Highway 183-A and Bridge Creek Road.
During the stop, the deputy requested the driver, Melissa Cook, to exit the vehicle. As she stepped out, the deputy observed her attempting to conceal an item.
Once Cook was out of the vehicle, the deputy noticed two plastic baggies on the seat where she had been sitting—one containing marijuana and the other methamphetamine.
Melissa Cook was placed under arrest and charged with: Possession of Methamphetamine
