At 10:05 a.m. on May 19, 2025, the Panama City Police Department responded to the intersection of Beach Drive and Harrison Avenue in reference to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers located an elderly female in a motorized wheelchair pinned under the front of a Chevy Silverado truck.
The woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. She later died from the injuries sustained during the crash.
Clynton Ray Davis, 54, of Panama City, was identified as the driver of the truck. An investigation was conducted, and Davis was arrested for DUI Manslaughter. He was transported to the Bay County Jail. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
