Lynn Haven, Florida Police Department Arrests Bay District Schools Employee Stacy Halloran for Child Abuse

The Lynn Haven Police Department received a report through the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center about a child being struck by a school bus driver.

Through the investigation, it was learned on May 13, 2025, Stacy Halloran was working as a bus driver for Bay District Schools. During the afternoon drop off time, Halloran slapped a child with an open hand on the back. This strike resulted in marks that lasted for more than 48 hours. This incident was reported to the Florida Department of Children and Families in their institutional division. Through their investigation, the allegations were sustained, and the child victim was provided services through the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center. While obtaining services, this incident was reported to law enforcement.

Warrants for Halloran were obtained and she was arrested by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.

The Lynn Haven Police Department would like to thank the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, the Florida Department of Children and Families, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, and Bay District Schools for their assistance in this investigation.
