On Sunday, June 15, 2025, around 9:30 a.m., a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 90 and Porter Avenue in Grand Ridge when he saw a vehicle traveling east on Highway 90. When the driver of the vehicle noticed the deputy’s marked patrol vehicle, he made multiple evasive maneuvers in an attempt to avoid law enforcement contact.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Curtis Alan Adams, and discovered the tag attached to Adams’ vehicle was not correct, and he did not have a valid driver’s license. Deputies were then informed by JCSO dispatch that Adams had a full extradition warrant out of Texas for burglary and was on probation in Jackson County for burglary.
Adams was arrested and is being charged with Fugitive from Justice, Violation of Probation, Driving While License Cancelled, and Tag Attached Not Assigned.
