Jude Isaac Lindamood, beloved son of Joe and Kristy Lindamood, was born into the arms of Jesus on June 13, 2025, though his spirit had already been received into glory two days earlier.
Jude was the answer to three years of faithful prayer — longed for, wept over, and joyfully awaited. His parents petitioned the Lord for a child, and in His mercy and goodness, God gave them Jude. Though his time on earth was brief, his life was filled with purpose, wrapped in love, and cradled in worship. He was carried with joy, prayed over daily, and serenaded with songs of praise by parents who adored him. Every heartbeat, every movement, every quiet moment was a treasured gift.
His name means “praised,” and even in sorrow, we praise the Lord for Jude’s life.
Jude’s passing is not the end of his story. In God’s mysterious providence, his life — though short — will bring glory to the Lord. As Scripture promises, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). We grieve deeply, but not without hope. Jude is whole and safe in the arms of his Savior, and one day, we will hold him again.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Joe and Kristy Lindamood; his grandparents, Suzanne and Wes Shattler, and Teresa and Joe Lindamood; and a loving extended family who now carry his memory with tenderness and honor.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Baptist Church Chipley on Saturday morning, June 28 at 11:00 with a visitation at 10:00 to celebrate Jude’s life and proclaim the hope we have in Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes your prayers, and invites you to donate to Samaritan’s Purse.
