Washington County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrest Six for Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Etc.

6 people are facing felony drug charges in Washington County following a roundup conducted by the Washington County Drug Task Force.

For the past few months, The Task Force, which is comprised of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Chipley Police Department have conducted an intense investigation into drug activity here in Washington County.

“During these undercover operations, we focus on the source of the numerous drug arrests in our area, the dealers,” says Sheriff Crews. “People who are selling illegal narcotics are preying on our youth and those battling addictions. They are not welcome in Washington County, and I will not allow them to continue poisoning our communities.”

This particular investigation led to the arrest of 6 individuals for the sale of fentanyl, methamphetamine and prescription drugs.

“As we continue to make these drug-related arrests, we continue to see our overall crime decrease in our communities,” says Crews.

Those facing charges stemming from this investigation are:

Cody Gregory Pettis, 39 of Chipley, FL

  1. Sell of methamphetamine
  2. Sell of methamphetamine within 1000 ft of a specified area
  3. Sell of Fentanyl within 1000 ft of a specified area
  4. Use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony

Kimberly Michelle Taylor, 53 of Caryville, FL

  1. Possession of a controlled substance without a prescription

James Thomas Ard, 67 of Caryville, FL

  1. Sell of Opium within 1000 ft of a specified area
  2. 2 counts-Use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony
  3. Sell of Opium

Joseph Michael Marlow, 71 of Caryville, FL

  1. Possession of paraphernalia
  2. Possession of a controlled substance
  3. Possession of a controlled substance without a prescription
  4. Possession of a weapon by a convicted felon
  5. 2 counts-Sell of methamphetamine 

Robin Gail Thomas, 62 of Caryville, FL

  1. 2 counts-Sell of Opium

Heather Marie Oliver, 32 of Chipley, FL (currently being held in Jackson County Jail)

  1. 2 counts-Sell of methamphetamine
  2. 2 counts-Use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony

Several others were arrested prior in connection with this investigation.
