Larry Ray Bowman, 82 of Chipley, Florida, passed away on July 4, 2025, at Bonifay Nursing and Rehab Center in Bonifay, Florida.
Larry was born February 16, 1943, in Ironton, Ohio, to Charles and Agnes Marie Bowman. He was a man who loved the simple things in life like fishing, carving wood in his shop, drawing, and spending time outdoors.
He had a gift for creating with his hands, whether it was a beautiful woodcarving or a sketch on paper. Nature was his favorite place to be, and he found peace in quiet days by the water or walking through the woods. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Agnes Marie Bowman; brother: Lester Blevins; sister: Phyllis Young.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Pamela Kay Bowman of Chipley, Florida; son: Daniel Jones (Jessica) of Chipley, Florida; daughter: Melissa Jones of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren: Kaiden and Kaia Jones.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Tennessee. Obert Funeral Home and Whispering Pines Crematory of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
