The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of Alrad Jackson of Riverdale, Georgia, in connection with an identity theft case targeting a Holmes County resident.
Jackson stole the victim’s identity by creating a joint account in both names and then began withdrawing funds from the victim’s account. HCSO investigators gathered video footage and other evidence from a bank in Alabama where the fraudulent transactions occurred.
As a result of the investigation, warrants were issued for Jackson on charges of criminal use of personal identification over $50,000. Jackson was arrested in Georgia and later extradited back to Holmes County.
Thanks to the efforts of investigators and a local bank teller, the victim was able to recover the stolen funds.
