The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor an area of disturbed weather off the East Coast of Florida.
It is forecast to move westward today and cross the peninsula of Florida and enter the eastern Gulf tonight.
This area of disturbed weather has a medium (40%) chance of developing over the next few days.
Rain chances increase Wednesday and Thursday regardless of tropical development. Reminder: Hurricane Season lasts through Nov. 30, and it is best to have a plan in place.
