National Weather Service Advises of Low Pressure Area, Heavy Rain and Winds

• A weak area of low pressure currently west of the area will continue to move away from the area. The chance of tropical development in the next day or two has decreased to a LOW (30%) chance.

• Dangerous rip currents are expected along our beaches with a HIGH RISK of rip currents through Friday.

• Isolated pockets of heavy rain are expected today with a marginal risk of flash flooding across the southern and western portions of the area.

• Small Craft should exercise caution offshore today with southerly winds of 15 to 20 knots.
