A week low pressure area is forecast to enter the Gulf of America/Mexico around high pressure currently in the gulf by this weekend. Currently forecast models do not develop this low (always need to keep a watch on lows in the gulf this time of year). As the low moves towards the gulf, some areas could see up to 7″ of rain during the next 48hrs.
Tropical Atlantic
It is getting close to the time to watch the tropical waves coming off of Africa. The tropical wave approaching the lesser Antilles currently has 0% Chance of Development. There three other tropical waves behind it. The Saharan Air Layer is currently dominant north of these tropical waves.
