Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suspended Holmes County, Florida Commissioner Brandon Newsom on Monday, July 28, 2025.
Newsom was charged on July 15, 2025 with one count of unlawful bail bond activity and one count of aiding or abetting an unlicensed bail bond agent.
While suspended, Newsom is prohibited from performing any official act, duty, or function of public office or receive pay.
Under the order, Newsom will be suspended until another executive order is issued or as provided by law.
