Otha Ronald Reddick, 92 of Tallahassee, Florida Passes on July 26, 2025

Otha Ronald Reddick, 92, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida.

He was born in Houston, Texas on December 31, 1932, to John Henry and Bamma Ward Reddick. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Voncile Burch Reddick, one son, Ronald Elvin Reddick, his four brothers and two sisters.

Otha is survived by one son, Douglas Ray Reddick and wife Vickie and one daughter-in-law, Martina ‘Tina’ Reddick, three granddaughters, Melisa ‘Nikki’ Reddick, Jessica Veit and husband Eric, Kayla Reddick, and three great-grandsons, Jackson Reddick, Ethan Veit, and Brayden Veit.

Otha graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Troy State University. He began his teaching career at Chipley High School before moving to Tallahassee. Over the years, he taught many classes throughout the panhandle of Florida, with the culmination of his teaching career at the Florida State University College of Business. He was very proud of his many successful businesses he owned but took particular pride in assisting the Florida Sheriff’s Association setting up their computer system around the state. Otha continued working diligently well into his late 80s.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank Cindy Blankenship for her help, dedication and all her assistance with Otha’s care, especially in the last few months.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM, Friday, August 1, 2025, in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.
