The Chipley Police Department, in partnership with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, executed a narcotics search warrant at the Budget Inn, located at 1184 Jackson Avenue, Chipley, FL.
Upon arrival, contact was made with Christopher Lucas Porter, and Amanda McNair. Probation officers informed them of their intent to search the residence as part of McNair’s probation conditions. A search was conducted, during which a glass smoking device was found in plain view on a dresser. A presumptive field test confirmed the presence of methamphetamine residue on the device.
A search warrant was obtained by the Chipley Police Department. The warrant was executed resulting in the discovery of the following items:
• Three glass smoking devices with methamphetamine residue
• Methamphetamine
Amanda Jean McNair and Christopher Lucas Porter were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, in violation of the following Florida Statutes:
• 893.13.6a: Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription
• 893.147.1: Possession and/or Use of Drug Paraphernalia
