James Edward Quattlebaum, 71 of Chipley, Florida passed away on August 2, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Edward was born on October 31, 1953, in Panama City, Florida, to R.V. Quattlebaum and Lillie Easter Ward. A lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle, Edward spent much of his life working as a truck driver. He was a true outdoorsman who loved fishing and enjoyed working on boats and cars. Music was another passion of his, especially playing the guitar. Edward will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents: R.V and Lillie Quattlebaum.
He is survived by his son: James Matthew “Matt” Quattlebaum of Chipley, FL; significant other: Frances Elaine Garrette of Chipley, FL; brother: Johnny Mack Quattlebaum; sisters: Martha Ann Bagwell, Elizabeth Walker, Frankie Lou Quattlebaum.
Graveside service will be held 11 AM Friday, August 15, 2025 at Weeks Family Cemetery. (4742 Moss Hill Road Chipley). Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
