Chipley, Florida Police Department Arrests Matthew Kulkusky Following Traffic Stop

On August 20, 2025, at approximately 7:14 PM, a Chipley Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop at the Sonic Drive-In on State Road 77 after observing a driver in a blue Jeep not wearing a seatbelt. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from inside.

The driver was identified as Matthew Kulkusky via Florida driver’s license. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a large amount of a green leafy substance, later field-tested positive for marijuana, tied under the front seat.

Additionally, plastic baggies were found in the center console, and a scale with marijuana residue was located in the glove box. A large amount of currency was also discovered in Mr. Kulkusky’s possession. These items are commonly associated with the distribution of illegal narcotics.

Matthew Kulkusky has been charged with: 893.13.1a2, Marijuana Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver

Mr. Kulkusky was transported to the county jail without incident.
