Sylvia E. Myer, age 90 of Bonifay, went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2025 at the Northwest Florida Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Sylvia was born on March 13, 1935 in Schenectady, New York to the late John and Sylvia (Greaves) Carlin. A former resident of Lecanto, Florida, she was of the Christian faith and enjoyed singing in the choir at the Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church when her health allowed. Sylvia loved to swim and enjoyed many trips to the beach. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 71 years, Glenford Myer; her son: Glen Robert Myer; brother: Stuart Carlin
She is survived by her two sons: Richard Myer and wife Kathy of Bonifay, Florida, John Myer and wife Sherry of Loxahatchee, Florida; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
A memorial service will be held in her honor 11AM Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Live Oak Baptist Church in Vernon, Florida with Bro. Tim Lanham officiating.
