Chipola College is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to support the health, safety, and success of our student-athletes. This role is vital to ensuring our athletes can perform at their best while minimizing risk and maintaining overall wellness.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Sports Medicine or related field.
Two (2) years of experience as a certified Athletic Trainer preferred.
Current certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
Current Florida Board of Athletic Training licensure.
Valid state Driver’s License.
Degree(s) and coursework must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
Duties and Responsibilities
Working under the dual direction of a licensed physician (for patient care and treatment) and the Director of Athletics (for campus and administrative activities), the Athletic Trainer will:
Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive sports medicine program.
Design and oversee physical conditioning and training programs for student-athletes.
Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate sports-related injuries and illnesses.
Identify and mitigate risks of student-athlete injury and illness.
Maintain accurate patient care and administrative documentation in line with professional guidelines.
Promote health, wellness, and safety for all student-athletes.
