Marie was born on June 6, 1941 in Panama City, Florida to Crawford B. Nelson and Vera Davis Nelson. She spent most of her life in Washington County and was a member of Wausau Assembly of God Church. Marie was a pastor’s wife for over 60 years and was known for being a strong prayer warrior. She loved to cook and sew, and she always found joy in doing things for others. More than anything, Marie loved her family and will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Rev Terah A. Greene; parents: Crawford and Vera Nelson; 4 brothers; 1 sister.
She is survived by her sons: Jonathan M. Greene (Suzanne) of Sunny Hills, FL, Wesley Andrew Greene Sr. of Milton, FL; daughter: Natalie C. Greene of Sunny Hills, FL; sister: Linda Proto (Ron) of Helen, GA; grandchildren: Crystal Carter (Brad), Marcy Brock (Will), Bradford Greene, Jacquelyne Johnson (Brian), Jessica Smelcer, Wesley Andrew Greene II, Abigail Greene; great grandchildren: Hayley Carter, Garrett Brock, Adrian Brock, Belle Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Olivia Johnson.
Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Wausau Assembly of God in Wausau, Florida with Pastor Danny Burns and Pastor Steven Subel. Interment will follow in Wausau Memorial Gardens. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
