On August 30, 2025, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by William Langston of Tallahassee on Airport Highway.
Langston refused to stop, and a pursuit was initiated. The chase continued into Jackson County, where the vehicle turned onto Piano Road, then Sloan Road, and eventually came to a stop at a residence on Fowler Road.
Langston was taken into custody and admitted to deputies that he fled because he did not have a valid driver’s license and wanted to get the vehicle and passenger home.
He was transported to the Jackson County Jail and faces charges of Fleeing and Attempting to Elude as well as Driving While License Suspended.
