Rachel R. Cutchins, 78 of Cottondale, Florida went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2025 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida surrounded by her loving family.
Rachel was born on June 21, 1947 in Cottondale, Florida to Jim and Janie Sapp. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and a faithful member of Cornerstone New Life Fellowship in Cottondale, Florida. Rachel loved being outside and had a true green thumb, she could grow just about anything. She especially enjoyed the holidays, with Christmas being her absolute favorite. But more than anything, Rachel loved her children and grandchildren she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Jim and Janie Sapp; husband of 56 years: Orin Kyle Cutchins.
She is survived by her sons: Willie Cutchins (April) of Cottondale, FL, Roger Cutchins (Bertha) of Cottondale, FL; Amos Cutchins of Cottondale, FL; daughters: Roseanne Cutchins of Alford, FL, Sandra Staley (Ryan) of West Virginia; brother: J.W. Sapp (Esther) of Greenwood, FL; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; special friends: Lynn and Rex Jackson of Chipley, FL.
Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Cornerstone New Life Fellowship Church in Cottondale, Florida with Pastor Mark Blaylock officiating. Interment will follow in Cottondale Assembly of God cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
