Washington County, Florida School Board Recognizes Students, Staff and Public at September 8, 2025 Meeting

Board recognized the following:

1. Perfect Score Students Recognition

Ms. Jessica Stephens, Director of Assessment and Accountability, joined by Chipley High School Principal Steve Griffin and Roulhac Middle School Principal Jennifer Kincaid, recognized students who achieved Perfect Scores on their Spring 2025 assessments.

Raegan Wiwi – Grade 8 FAST Math

Jaxson Tully – Grade 6 FAST Math

Chipley High School

Steve Philippe Sacramento – Biology 1 EOC Assessment

2. School and District Grades Presentation

Ms. Jessica Stephens, Director of Assessment and Accountability, presented the district school grades achieved during the 2024-2025 school year. Washington County ranked #1 in Florida for growth, moving from a C (55%) in 2024 to a B (61%) in 2025.  Superintendent Register emphasized the goal to remain in the top 10 in growth each year until the district is among the top 25 in the state.  Principals also shared their individual school results.

The Board proudly honored Ms. Lucy Carmichael, Director of Finance, who is retiring after 29 years of dedicated service to the district. In appreciation of her dedication and commitment to the district, she was presented with a proclamation honoring her contribution.
