The Jackson County, Florida Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), in partnership with multiple state, local, and federal agencies, recently concluded a multi-day investigation designed to protect our children from online predators. From September 4–6, undercover investigators posed as juveniles online to identify and apprehend individuals attempting to exploit minors.
As a result of this proactive operation, seven individuals were arrested and charged with serious offenses, including soliciting minors online and traveling to meet them for unlawful sexual activity.
Sheriff Donald L. Edenfield emphasized the importance of operations like these:
“Our children deserve to be safe in their homes, in their schools, and in their communities. Those who prey on them—whether from behind a screen or in person—will find no safe place in Jackson County. We will continue working alongside our law enforcement partners to find and stop anyone who attempts to harm our youth.”
This operation was led, housed, and supervised by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with:

On State Probation, held without BOND.
Additionally, two of the individuals arrested are now under further investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for possible immigration violations.
Sheriff Edenfield extended his gratitude to every agency involved:
“These arrests are the result of incredible teamwork and commitment across jurisdictions. Because of these partnerships, our community is safer, and those who intended to harm our children are behind bars.”
