Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Benjamin Earl Kimbrell for Exploitation of Elderly

In August 2025, the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a citizen regarding a possible theft. The case was assigned to a criminal investigator, who determined that Benjamin Earl Kimbrell, from Graceville had been living with the elderly victim while posing as a contractor to perform work on her trailer.

During that time, Kimbrell is alleged to have taken antique coins valued at more than $3,000 and attempted to sell them to multiple individuals.

As a result of the investigation, active warrants have been issued for Kimbrell on the following charges:

Exploitation of the Elderly, Theft, Falsely Identifying as a Contractor

Sheriff John Tate and the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office remain committed to protecting our citizens, especially the elderly, from exploitation and fraud.
