Busy week across the Atlantic with a hurricane and two areas of interest. Let’s break it down:
– Hurricane Gabrielle is forecast to become a major hurricane and will continue to move AWAY from the United States. No worries here!
– There are two trouble spots behind Gabrielle. The one further away has a high chance of becoming a tropical system later this week. That one looks to make that sharp curve to the north before getting anywhere close to Florida.
– The second trouble spot has a lower chance of developing, but does look to pass closer to the east coast. It’s one we will be watching closely but not a threat at this time.
Lots to watch as you’d expect during the peak of hurricane season, but my concern meter is still low. Plenty of updates to follow both on-air and online.
