Joy Younavjak, 80 of Chipley, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Joy was born on April 23, 1945, in Orlando, Florida, to Benjamin Willard Redditt and Beulah Tucker. A resident of Washington County since 1973, coming from Orlando, Florida. Joy was a devoted member of Blue Lake Baptist Church, where she taught preschool Sunday school for many years. She loved being outside, working in her garden, and tending to her flowers. Most of all, she loved her family and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Willard and Beulah Redditt; brother: Steve Redditt
She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Philip Younavjak of Chipley, FL; son: Philip Younavjak Jr. of Thomasville, GA; daughters: Mona Hansen (Chris) of Monroe, Ga, Lorrie Younavjak of Panama City, FL; brothers: Wade Redditt (Mindy) of Christmas, FL, Philip Redditt (Laurie) of Blairsville, GA, Kenley Redditt (Paula Jean) of Blairsville, GA; sisters: Willa Wood (Jim) of Titusville, FL, Flora Wood (Dale) of Titusville, FL; grandchildren: Christian Hansen, Maddox Hansen, Dawson Younavjak.
Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Blue Lake Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida with Pastor Rich Smelser officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 PM Monday, September 29, 2025 at Blue Lake Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida.
