Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Kaitlyn Adkins and Sara Larson for Meth, Etc.

On September 29, 2025, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office Investigators observed a suspected drug transaction at the intersection of Highway 179-A and Highway 2. Investigators witnessed a black truck pull up to a black Dodge Charger, where a female exited the truck and handed a plastic bag to the occupants of the Charger.

Following the exchange, a traffic stop was conducted on the Charger, which was driven by Kaitlyn Adkins. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, investigators located a plastic bag containing mushrooms. After an interview, Adkins admitted she had purchased the mushrooms from Sara Larson.

Investigators then proceeded to Gilmore Road in an attempt to make contact with Larson. While en route, they observed Larson driving the black truck and conducted a traffic stop. A probable cause search of her vehicle revealed another plastic bag containing mushrooms, as well as a methamphetamine pipe with methamphetamine residue. Also present in the vehicle was Larson’s small child.

Both Larson and Adkins were taken into custody. Larson was charged with:

Possession of Methamphetamine

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Child Endangerment

Adkins was charged with:

Possession of a Controlled Substance

Possession of meth

Purchase of controlled substance
